Some projects begin with an identity change, while others start by asking what a brand can become. When Salvador Fernández came to us, Borrego was a renowned restaurant in the center of Bullas, his hometown. But he wanted to take a leap: to leave the center, move to an old mill, and build something that was much more than a restaurant.

We understood that Borrego couldn’t just remain Borrego; the project’s transformation had to start with Salvador himself, stepping away from being solely the chef to become a host. From that idea, Casa Borrego was born—a home understood as a place of belonging. It became a space to cook, host, rest, converse, and discover the region, where the experience doesn’t end on the plate, but continues in the mill, the rooms, the landscape, and the welcoming way of life of your host.

We developed a project encompassing strategy, naming, identity, and spatial brand implementation to accompany this transformation: from a restaurant to a gastronomic destination, from chef to host, and from Borrego to Casa Borrego.

Today, Casa Borrego is part of the MICHELIN Guide selection.
