Murcia was turning 1,200 years old. And we thought a milestone like this needed more than just looking back. It needed to leave something behind. Something capable of telling our story in a new language. Of bringing Murcia’s culture closer to a generation that may not connect with it through institutions, but does through music, fashion, football or design.
1200 Limited is a collection of three T-shirts that reinterprets symbols of our city through a contemporary lens. History turned into an object. Into identity. Into something you can wear. And with one idea defining the entire project from the very beginning: 1,200 numbered units per design. Not one more.
To bring it to life, we brought together Murcia City Council and Kappa in a project that we built from start to finish at the studio: from the concept and brand collaboration to the design of the three T-shirts, creative direction, full project management and launch campaign.
The important thing was never making three T-shirts. It was making 1,200 years of history feel relevant again. Making someone want to wear Murcia on their chest not only out of nostalgia, but because it represents who they are, where they come from and the culture they are part of. A piece of our history, designed to become part of what comes next.
